A Gift from My Ghanaian Team
The Wisdom Knot is close to my heart because my Ghanaian team gave it to me after a training program we did together while I was working for World Vision. It showed up on a hand-embroidered dress accompanied by an explanation of its meaning. When I opened their thoughtful gift, I was moved to tears. I had no idea that I had inspired them at such a profound level.
Consequently, I renamed my company “Inspiración” and adapted the Wisdom Knot as my logo. The Wisdom Knot reminds me to choose the best means to help you achieve your wellness and professional goals. In the end, you’ll rebalance your life–emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
Nyansapo-The Wisdom Knot
Nyansapo is a symbol of wisdom, ingenuity, intelligence, and patience. The Akan, the people inhabiting southern Ghana and adjacent parts of the Ivory Coast, revere it as a sacred symbol.
This symbol conveys the idea that “a wise person has the capacity to choose the best means to attain a goal. Being wise implies broad knowledge, learning and experience, and the ability to apply such faculties to practical ends.”
